Ammonite Fossil Pendant - Handmade

Handmade pendant which was cut and polished from a fossilized ammonite.
Ammonites were a  type of shelled molluscs that lived in various ancient oceans across the ancient earth.
After the ammonite died, its body sank to the bottom of the seafloor where it was buried under mud and fossilized over the course of many thousand years.
The crystallized part of the shell makes for a nice contrast to the much darker stone in which it is embedded.
