Orthoceras Fossil Pendant - Handmade

Pendant made from an Orthoceras fossil in a black limestone matrix.

Orthoceras was a cephalopod that lived in an ancient ocean about 400 million years ago.
From these extinct animals, only the shell was preserved and fossilised over millions of years.
Today most of these fossils are found in Marocco where they are embedded in black limestone.
