Pyrite Slate
Pyrite sprinkles and cubes embedded in dark slate give this material a beautiful and unique look.
Pyrite is also known as fool's gold, as its yellow/slightly gold like colour has often lead to it being mistaken for gold.

It is found high up in the Swiss Alps and is collected by hand by only a few collectors who know where to find it.
Collecting it is not an easy task as the locations where it can be found are hidden in the mountains, hard to reach and collecting usable material means bringing down dozens of kilograms of rough material, most of which won't contain pyrite, in a backpack while climbing down the mountain.

How it is created
Each piece of our jewellery was hand-crafted by us here in Germany with great care and love.
We cut, shape and polish each piece in our small workshop on diamond grinding and polishing wheels to create unique jewellery that reflects the natural beauty of nature.
