Face Polished Andesite Porphyry - Handmade | Volcanic Rock

Face polished piece of Andesite Porphyry, a volcanic rock from the Austrian Alps.
This piece was collected by ourselves in Bavaria, Germany and cut and polished by hand on one side, while the rest of the stone is as we found it.

Andesite Porphyry
Andesite Porphyry is a volcanic rock with big Feldspar crystals. The material was created in the Austrian Alps and has been transported by the Inn-Glacier to Bavaria in Germany where it was deposited when the glacier retreated.

How we create our jewelry
We cut, grind and polish our stones by hand in our small workshop in the beautiful German town of Bad Honnef.
To be able to work the hard stones and achieve a high quality, we use diamond coated saw blades, grinding wheels and and drills to work our stone
