The Canadian maple ( Acer saccharum) , also called sugar maple, originally comes from the forests of Canada and is traditionally used there to extract sugar sap for the production of maple syrup. However, it can also be found here in Europe as an ornamental plant in parks or gardens and is also often used, especially in America, for making furniture due to its hard wood.
