Pendant with Scottish Lewisian in the design of a thistle, the national flower of Scotland.
According to legend, a group of Scottish warriors was saved from an attack by Norsemen by the thistle, as one of the attackers stepped on the prickly plant and cried out in pain, thus alerting the Scots.
Although this story may be fictional, the thistle is one of Scotland's most important symbols and can be found on coats of arms, as decoration on buildings, in company logos and even on police uniforms.

Scottish Lewisian
Scottish Lewisian comes from the islands of Lewis, Harris and the northern Highlands.
The raw material is collected by hand and forms the bedrock of Scotland and is one of the oldest rocks in the world, estimated to be 3 billion years old (3,000,000,000 years old!)!
Lewisian Gneiss, as the group of rocks is called, is composed of various minerals such as feldspar, quartz and epidote and this combination of minerals also gives the Lewisian its great colors and structures.
Even the earliest cultures in Scotland used the Lewisian to build important monuments such as stone circles and sacred sites
