Labradorite
Labradorite is a mineral from the feldspar group, which is particularly known for its colorful shimmer, the so-called labradorescence.
Because of this play of colors, labradorite is now a particularly popular gemstone that is often used to make jewelry and other art objects.
The name comes from the first place where labradorite was found, the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, where the stone was first discovered by a Czech missionary in 1770.
