Olivine Basalt Pendant - Handmade

Unique pendant made of olivine basalt from the Siebengebirge on the Rhine.
This pendant was hand-carved, cut, and polished by us and is unique. The shape of the pendant is based on the natural form of the raw stone.

Olivine basalt
The olivine basalt comes from one of the local quarries in the Siebengebirge and is normally used for road construction, riverbank stabilization or as gravel for pavements.
The olivine crystals contained in the basalt are light and dark green and partly transparent, creating a beautiful play of colors that makes the olivine basalt a very special piece of jewelry.
The polished basalt is almost deep black and forms a particularly pronounced contrast to the green of the olivine.
