A treasure from the Rhine – handmade and unique
This handcrafted pendant made from a Rhine agate is a true masterpiece of nature. Probably originally from the Idar-Oberstein region, the agate underwent a long journey through small rivers and streams before finally ending up in the Rhine and being transported further. Each agate is collected by hand from the Rhine and selected with great care.

The formation of agates
Agates are fascinating natural wonders that formed deep underground millions of years ago. They are formed when mineral-rich solutions penetrate cavities in volcanic rock, depositing layer upon layer of fine quartz crystals. Each of these layers gives the stone its distinctive patterns and colors, created by inclusions of minerals such as iron and manganese. This slow growth and the unique geological conditions ensure that no two agates are alike—each stone is a unique specimen of nature.
