A hand-polished piece of jasper from the Rhine, the piece is highly polished on the front and left natural on the back.
We collected this piece of jasper on the Rhine in the region around Bonn and ground and polished it by hand on our grinding machine. Jasper comes from the ore deposits of the Lahn-Dill region and is also known as iron silica. It is quartz with inclusions of iron, which gives the stone its red color.
Production We lovingly handcraft our mineral and gemstone jewelry in Germany. Each piece of jewelry goes through several work phases, starting with cutting the raw stone, shaping and grinding on various diamond grinding wheels, and ending with the final polishing.
