925 sterling silver ring in wave design, with a piece of Scottish Lewisian.
Scottish Lewisian
Scottish Lewisian comes from the islands of Lewis, Harris and the northern Highlands.
The raw material is collected by hand and forms the bedrock of Scotland and is one of the oldest rocks in the world, estimated to be 3 billion years old (3,000,000,000 years old!)!
Lewisian Gneiss, as the group of rocks is called, is composed of various minerals such as feldspar, quartz and epidote and this combination of minerals also gives the Lewisian its great colors and structures.
Even the earliest cultures in Scotland used Lewisian to build important monuments such as stone circles and sacred sites.
Size
The ring is adjustable and should fit any finger, but the optimal ring size for this design is between 55 and 60 (circumference). On smaller or larger fingers, the design may be slightly off-center.
Note: When you order, you will receive a ring in the same design and quality as shown in the photos, but the color and pattern of the stone may vary slightly.
Because they are natural stones, they are always slightly different but ultimately very similar.
We would be happy to send you a photo of the rings currently available. Please just send us a short email using our contact form.
