Sölker marble A globally valued marble from the Kleinsölktal in Styria, Austria. Marble is valued primarily for its particularly beautiful colors and patterns, as well as its durability, and has been mined since Roman times. The stone was formed from the remains of fossils from the primeval sea over 380 million years ago.
