A pendant made of Australian banded iron ore/tiger iron, composed of tiger's eye, silvery-gray hematite, and magnetite, along with bands of red jasper. This gives the tiger iron its unique pattern, and the alternation of silver-gray, brown, and dark red makes this pendant a very special piece of jewelry. Banded iron ore is found in Ukraine, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, North America, and Australia, among other places. It is not only used as a gemstone, but is primarily a source of iron ore and is economically very important.
