Andesite Porphyry Polished Stone - Handmade | Volcanic Rock

Hand-cut and polished piece made of andesite porphyry, a volcanic rock from the Alps.
The piece was collected by us in Bavaria and cut and polished on one side, the rest of the stone is left in its original form and untreated.

Andesite porphyry
Andesite porphyry is a volcanic rock with clearly visible felspar crystals. The rock originates from the Tyrolean Alps and was transported to Bavaria by the Inn Glacier, where it was then deposited during the glacier's retreat.

The production
We saw, grind and polish our pendants by hand in our own small workshop in beautiful Bad Honnef on the Rhine.
For this purpose we use diamond-coated grinding wheels, saw blades and drills to shape and grind the hard stones and to achieve a beautiful shine by polishing them.
